Knitted Neck Warmer
I really wanted to make a unique neck warmer and designed this knitted neck warmer having it in mind. You will not find anything like this neck warmer pattern in the knitting world. I always design something new that you will not find anywhere.
I also added a button to this neck warmer. There are so many buttons to choose! You can choose from very simple button to more fancy decorative button. No matter simple or decorative button you choose it should be 1 inch (2.5 cm) or more then 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Also, you can add two or thee buttons based on your preference.
This knitting pattern is multiples of 6 plus 1. The finished neck warmer is 7 inches wide and 27 inches long.
Yarn
To knit this neck warmer I am using Loops & Threads, Dewdrops yarn, super chunky, weight 6 in Diamond color. What a beautiful name for the yarn! Dewdrops is a perfect yarn for warm projects with a hint of fashion sparkle. Unfortunately this yarn is discontinued, but you still can find it online.
The good thing is that you can use any other weight 6 yarn to knit this neck warmer such as Lion Bran Thick & Quick. I love Lion Bran Thick & Quick yarn and use it in many projects. It is 20% wool and wool always keeps you warm in winter! Lion Bran Thick & Quick has so many colors to choose! Dreamcatcher, Driftwood, Cilantro to name just a few. You can see my YouTube tutorials here where I use this yarn to knit scarves. I also crochet and if you are interested in crocheting too, you can see my YouTube crochet video tutorials here.
Another great yarn that I like is Loops & Threads Cozy Wool. This yarn is 50% wool and is super chunky too. I usually buy this yarn at Michaels.
Material
To knit this neck warmer you will need the regular needles and large needles. The large needles that I use are US 50 – 25 mm and US 11 – 8 mm. I was using plastic US 50 – 25 mm needles and I liked working with them. You also will need a very simple button or more fancy decorative button.
