Crochet this stylish super chunky V-stitch scarf for yourself or as a gift for someone.

To crochet this chunky scarf I use Lion Brand Thick & Quick super bulky, weight 6 yarn, but you can use any weight yarn. Get the Lion Brand Thick & Quick super bulky, weight 6 yarn here and you can select any color from the dropdown. Also, you can add fringe to this scarf if desired. In this pattern the chain, a single crochet and a double crochet stitches are used, and the pattern is only one row repeat!

The pattern is multiples of 4 and the yarn used in this pattern is super bulky, weight 6.

ch sp = chain space

sk = skip

st = stitch

st’s = stitches

*..* = repeat between asterisks

Crochet V-Stitch Scarf Pattern Instructions

Make a slip knot and crochet a foundation chain of 16 + 3.

R1: sc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across (17 sc);

R2: 2 ch, turn, in 3rd st crochet (2dc, ch, 2dc), sk 3 st’s, *in 4th st crochet (2dc, ch, 2dc)*, repeat, to finish the row sk 2 st’s, dc in last st;

R3: 2 ch, turn, *in ch sp crochet (2dc, ch, 2dc)*, repeat, dc in last st.

Continue repeating row 3 until the desired length is reached and once the desired length is reached, crochet the last row.

Last row: 1 ch, turn, in 2nd dc crochet sc (count 2 ch as a dc), continue with sc in each dc and skip (do not crochet) into a chain space, sc in last stitch (this is a previous row’s 2ch), fasten off.

Add fringe if desired.
